Customer Service Representative

Location: Euclid, OH

The Customer Service Representative provides overall clerical support functions for the day-to-day processing activities to include benefits administration, legal processing, financial processing or support of site services in accordance with established standards for production, quality and security.  Previous call center experience needed!

Job Duties:

  • Performs a variety benefit administration and case processing tasks assigned to higher level staff.
  • Knowledgeable in commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to applicable case work.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, which does not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and telephone calls.
  • Performs the day-to processing of customer interactions.
  • Enters data into PBGC's systems of record.
  • Performs tasks associated with the document management activities to include plan and participant file maintenance (Scanning, indexing and document preparation).
  • Researches, analyzes, evaluates, and administers corporate benefit plans/programs.
  • Reports on quality and production trends to support personal and team continuous improvement efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher may be substituted for one year of experience.
  • Two years of related customer service/secretarial/telemarketing experience required or equivalent military experience.
  • Must be able to exercise analysis and experience in selecting documented procedures to follow in searching for, interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of source documents.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team is required.
  • Must be able to respond professionally to difficult or tense calls and/or situations that may arise out of daily duties.
  • Strong problem solving and probing question skills required.
