Claims Technician - Remote

Location: Columbia, MD

Pearl Interactive Network is seeking to hire a Claims Technician  Remote.

The Claims Technician is responsible for processing reimbursement payments for the Ticket to Work Program. The Claims Technician will provide instructions about payments and distribution. The Claims Technician will provide information with professionalism, precision, and an appropriate sense of urgency. In addition, the Claims Technician will work closely with the Sr. Payment Specialist to ensure all deliverables are accomplished.  Must reside in the Columbia, MD area.

Location(s): Columbia, MD (Remote with an onsite option in 2022)

Technical/Equipment Requirements:

  1. Broadband internet connection with the minimum upload/download speed of 20mbps/5mbps. No Satellite Connections. Test your network at speedtest.com to verify before you apply.
  2. Ethernet cable access. Wi-Fi-only connectivity, prohibited.
  3. Private and secure workspace within your home. Away from noise and distractions.
  4. Computer and audio headset provided. Must be able to pick up equipment on location.

Please note the bandwidth requirements are minimum for remote work-from-home agents, to support agent project workflow. For shared home access, additional bandwidth is needed where multiple family members are sharing household bandwidth with Streaming video/Remote learning, etc.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to reimbursement Payment Inquiries regarding the status of payments, clarification of policy, and assist in processing payments for beneficiaries.
  • Evaluate and Review all request reimbursement and cost to ensure compensation is made in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate any discrepancies or corrective action plans prior to making payments.
  • Collaborate in creating automated payment utilizing their iTOPSS system.
  • Adhere to Performance Requirements.
  • Provide updates ensuring compliance with timeline expectations.
  • Make the caller aware of other services and actions that may lead to greater success.
  • Keep pace with trends, changes, and competitor actions that might affect payments.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Preserve quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
