Remote HR Generalist

Location: Corporate

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for Human Resources functions under the direction of Corporate Human Resources Director. This position will be part of a team responsible for daily Human Resource operations company-wide.

Job Duties:

  • Work with on-site HR Staff to ensure employee and business needs are met.
  • Perform HR operations on a Sr. level to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of management in order to resolve HR issues timely.
  • Implement and advises on company policies to assure consistent application and equitable employee relations.
  • Administration of company benefit programs including employee inquiries, enrollment and change administration, vendor relations, claims assistance, billing and issue resolution.
  • HRIS setup, maintenance and reporting.
  • New employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Verification of Employment processing.
  • Unemployment insurance claim processing and administration.
  • Affirmative Action Planning.
  • Employee appreciation and recognition activities.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Classification:  Full-time, Exempt

Operating Hours:  8am - 5 pm EST, Mon. - Fri.

Location:  Virtual based

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist, 5 years preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience working in a service business such as recruiting, staffing and/or call center
  • HR specialty such as benefits, compensation, performance, rewards and recognition and training preferred
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of human resources principles, employment law and policies
  • Ability to research information thoroughly from various government and HR sites and resources
  • Bachelor's degree and or HR Certification preferred
  • Multi state HR experience in rules and regulations preferred
  • Experience in government or SCA contracts a plus
  • Experience with HRIS software including applicant tracking systems and employee performance
  • Policy and procedure driven
  • Flexibility to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Employee relations experience required, prior experience working with virtual staff preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent written communication skills including English grammar and punctuation
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel if needed
