Customer Care Advocate - Remote

Location: Virtual, in the U.S.

Pearl Interactive Network is hiring Remote Customer Care Advocates.

The Customer Care Advocate must be thorough, accurate, and timely when handling customer calls. The CCA will receive inbound calls and initiate outbound calls to gather pertinent information or to provide information to military customers regarding healthcare plans and services. The CCA shall always remain professional during customer calls.

Technical, Equipment, and Work-from-Home Requirements:

  1. Broadband internet connection with a minimum download speed of 40 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. No Satellite Connections or Mobile Carrier networks. Test your network at speed.cloudflare.com to verify before you apply.
  2. Ethernet cable access. Wi-Fi-only connectivity is prohibited.
  3. Private and secure workspace within your home. Away from noise and distractions.
  4. Computer equipment, monitor, and headset are provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage prioritized tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Answer phone calls and research inquiries concerning benefits, and enrollment.
  • Research and documents/updates databases such as network-to-network changes, and CRM documentation.
  • Provide information to internal and external customers.
  • Regenerate copies of pertinent correspondence.
  • Process additional assignments, such as PCM changes, address changes, ID card replacements, referral, and authorization status calls, data entry, etc.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Follow the processes of the Client program and perform all tasks courteously and professionally.
  • Work with a variety of technologies to perform required tasks.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to work alternate schedules based on specific contact center hour requirements.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Requires US citizenship.
  • 2 years of customer service, required.
  • Call center, insurance, or medical experience, preferred, or any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience, that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's duties.
  • Experience in healthcare, military, or managed care environments, is a plus.
  • Previous experience utilizing Citrix workspace is highly desirable.
  • Must pass and maintain a Criminal History Background Check (CHBC) before Services performance and National Agency Check with Law Enforcement and Credit (NACLC) clearance.
  • Must maintain current possession of a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and explain benefits in a clear, concise, and professional manner. · Strong PC skills including MS Word and Excel.
  • Write clear and concise notes.
  • Must have experience with data entry into a computer-based device.
  • Proficient with a computer including Microsoft Office, the Internet, and other systems. ·
  • Maintain skills through continued and ongoing training through the Learning Management System (LMS) or client’s training system.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
